Around the TJBS Website

tjbs_logo_for_fbInformation overload is an epidemic, and the average time spent on most websites is pretty small. So, it wouldn't be a surprise if maybe you've missed some of the cool features of the TJBS site. First, there's the stuff that everyone probably sees: the Top News section that's first thing on the page (the news items we think are most interesting and timely). You're also probably familiar with the calendar just below it.

On down the page are some nuggests you should be sure and check out:

Columns -- these are original opinion pieces, CD reviews, and performance reviews written specifically for TJBS.

Around the net -- these are "news feeds" -- links to headlines from other sites we think will be of interest to our readers. For the national scene there's NPR Jazz, All About Jazz, and Piano Jazz. The newest addition is a local review site, artnownashville.com, with an entire section dedicated to jazz! Ron Wynn and John Pitcher have written some fantastic reviews of local performances, and the links are right here!

There's also a Featured Video -- a link to a video on the web that's caught our fancy. Then there are pages devoted to local artists and venues. There's a link to the TJBS Facebook page, which you'll want to be sure and "like" -- it will have fresh news and links that may not fit on the website.

Last but not least there's a listing of the next few days' events from the calendar -- in case you don't have time to dig down into the calendar itself.

We hope you know all this already, but in case you've missed some of it . . . now you know!
