The concert featured music from longtime TJBS musician members: Blues by The Moe Denham Trio, and Jazz by pianist Bruce Dudley, with bassist John Birdsong, drummer Josh Hunt, special guests Annie Sellick and Connye Florance, along with other musical guests: Cliff Richmond (guitar), Jim Williamson (trumpet), Denny Kirkland (trumpet), and Jennie Hoeft (drums).

Jazz & Blues has a rich history in Middle TN. For 40 years the TJBS has helped to continue this legacy and introduce the music to new listeners. The Society’s much-loved "Jazz on the Lawn" series at Belle Meade Plantation ended two years ago, a victim of weather and rising costs.
The TJBS is moving on to a new chapter, to work to shine light on the music and the artists who make it. The September 6 benefit concert will raise funds for this continued work, enlist new members, and appreciate longtime supporters.
Doors open at 5 pm for hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, and the concert begins at 6 pm. Tickets are $20, available at the door or online at jazzblues.org. Memberships are also available online and onsite.
The Belcourt Theatre is located at 2102 Belcourt Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212, phone 615-846-3150.
