Dara describes the CD as a project that illustrates soul, jazz and gospel influences on originals and jazz standards, in addition to new arrangements of material by artists ranging from Mahalia Jackson to Sade. The project features appearances by internationally reknowned 7-string guitarist Charlie Hunter, in addition to some of Nashville's first-call jazz musicians and progressive improvisers such as pianists Mason Embry and Paul Horton, reedmen Chris West, Cord Martin and Reagan Mitchell, Greg Bryant, as well as drummer Derrek Phillips.
"Our . . . project is really representative of were we are creatively at this moment in time. Its been a joy to work on, and I'm trusting that this joy will be palpable to our listeners," said Tucker.
